Jason's Missing Stages

_ Week two (North Cornwall) proved to be a bit too much for me a times, which resulted in me “bombing out” of a few stages early. This left Dave to complete the stage solo, while I hoped on a bus to our final destination for the day.

I can make up as many excuses as I like about why this happened (e.g. crap weather, blisters, sore feet etc.), but in reality there's only reason. Lack of fitness and preparation on my part!

I'm now furious about this, and these missing stages are playing on my mind a lot. I'd hate to get to Poole Harbour knowing that I've walked 600 odd miles, but got gaps amounting to 20 miles along the way that I haven't done. That's why for the next three years I'm going to be starting my SWCP week one day earlier than Dave. The plan is to knock-off the missing stages as “prologues” to the week's walking.

    This was a two mile section along a busy road. Dave nearly got run over,     and described it as the worst section of the path. Unlikley to be done.
